In the past, we mentioned that China is seriously considering establishing a “Cultural Heritage Protection Day”, as suggested by a few representatives of the national CPPCC (Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference), to promote the right attitude towards traditional culture. As far as we know, the legal process of establishing such a “Cultural Heritage Protection Day” is progressing smoothly, and it is very likely to become a law this year.
At the same time, we have received other good news relevant to this project. First of all, the highest administrative organ of Chinese Cultural Heritage Protection – the National Administration on Cultural Heritage - announced a cultural heritage protection icon (see image below). The pattern in the center of this icon is modeled after the archaeological findings from the Sichuan Jinsha Remnants. The National Authorities hopes that, with the adoption of this new icon, more and more people will become aware of the existence of this cultural heritage concept, and thus start to treasure it, and consciously protect it.
The National Authorities even hopes that the protection of the cultural heritage can become a kind of emotion adopted by the younger generation. In order to do so, it has written a new song named “Treasure” that is sung by the hottest pop star adored by young people. (Click

Among the overwhelming commercial advertisements rampart in the popular mass media, we find the icon of cultural heritage protection, and we consider it a rational perception on the present situation of our country. In the delightful music programs, we hear the song for cultural heritage protection, and we can be assured of the responsible performances of this nation for the cultural succession of mankind.
